1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of handyman services provided by Nick Gray Handyman ("I," "me," or "my"), a sole proprietor operating in Orange County, CA. By requesting my services through nickgrayhandyman.com, Thumbtack, SMS, or any other means, you ("Client" or "you") agree to these Terms.

2. Services

I provide general handyman services in Orange County, CA, including but not limited to minor repairs, installations, maintenance tasks, and other residential handyman work as agreed upon prior to each job.

All services are subject to availability. I reserve the right to decline any service request at my discretion.

3. Estimates and Pricing

3.1 Estimates

Estimates provided prior to a job are based on the information available at the time. Final pricing may vary if the actual scope of work differs from what was initially described. I will communicate any changes in pricing before proceeding with additional work.

3.2 Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. I accept cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, and other payment methods as mutually agreed. Late payments may result in additional fees.

3.3 Cancellation

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may result in a cancellation fee equal to one hour of labor.

4. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information about the work needed

• Ensure safe and accessible working conditions

• Be present or ensure an authorized adult is present during the service

• Provide access to water, electricity, and necessary utilities as needed

• Secure pets and valuables prior to my arrival

• Inform me of any known hazards at the property

5. Warranty and Satisfaction

I stand behind my work. If you are not satisfied with a completed service, please contact me within 48 hours and I will make reasonable efforts to address your concerns at no additional charge.

This warranty does not cover issues caused by client-supplied materials, pre-existing conditions, normal wear and tear, or damage caused after the service was completed.

6. SMS Communications

By providing your phone number through my website, through Thumbtack, or by contacting me directly via SMS, you consent to receive text messages from me related to your service request. These messages may include appointment confirmations, scheduling updates, and follow-up communications.

Message frequency: varies based on your service request, typically 2 to 5 messages per inquiry.

Message and data rates may apply.

Opt-Out: Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving SMS messages. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

7. Limitation of Liability

I will perform all services with reasonable care and skill. However, my liability for any damage or loss arising from services provided is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.

I am not liable for pre-existing damage, damage caused by client-supplied materials, or consequential damages. I carry general liability insurance — proof is available upon request.

8. Property Access and Safety

By scheduling a service, you grant me permission to access the areas of your property necessary to complete the requested work. I will treat your property with respect and clean up the work area upon completion.

I reserve the right to stop work and leave if working conditions are deemed unsafe, without penalty.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on nickgrayhandyman.com, including text, images, and design, is owned by Nick Gray Handyman and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in Orange County, California.

11. Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted at nickgrayhandyman.com with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of my services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
